On the Plane

Denver here we come!!

Christmas Morning (a little early)

So, our kids surprised on Christmas Morning and slept in. We had to wake them up so we could catch a plane after we tore through the presents. Santa was good to everyone this year and Joshua was really good to me. We really enjoyed our little family Christmas.

Christmas program at school

The kids had a Christmas program at school.
They were so excited about it. They did a great job singing! Right after the program we took them home for our family Christmas eve before we left for Denver. We made sugar cookies, watched the Polar Express and had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner.

Adalyn wrote a note to Santa telling him that we have a cat named GIGI. I think she wanted to make sure that GiGi didn't get left out. Well, Santa left a can of tuna for the kitty. Thanks Santa!

Halloween

Our first Halloween Party was a carnival at the Retirement Home that my Great Aunt Elma lives in. She is 100 years old! We promised her we would take her to the Carnival and we had a blast. This scene was so cute! Caleb climbed up on the couch next to Aunt Elma and snuggled right up to her. They are looking through his loot together. So cute! She just adores him. She takes his little face in her hands and they both get a huge smile.
Treston is sporting his new teeth! He got six teeth in a few weeks, ouch! He is not wearing his costume because fleece costumes don't mix with 90 degree interior temperatures to keep the Grandmas and Grandpas comfortable!
Freaky!
Happy Halloween Aunt Elma! This was her 101st Halloween.

The kids had a Halloween parade at school. FORTUNATELY for us, there was four different days we got to wear costumes!!! Carnivals, school, ward party and Halloween night! Ethan was a skeleton, Caleb was a lion (Can I just say he was ADORABLE), Treston was a monkey and smiled for everyone! Adalyn was Glenda the Good Witch. I just want to say thank you to my Mother because I now know what it is like to spend hours and countless trips to different stores to find all the supplies for a very special little girl costume! We really had a good time creating this costume! It is a good thing that the boy's costumes were store bought! (this is Adalyn with her 2nd grade teacher)

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins for the first time this year. I don't remember it being such a pain! The kids weren't hip with digging out the goo, but they LOVED cutting the pumpkins into tiny pieces with knives! Doesn't get any better than that!

2nd Grade

Time to start another school year! It is hard to believe that the summer was soooo fast!

7 months

Go Cougars!

Just being next to the stadium got us excited for football season!

BYU has a little dinosaur museum. It is free and they have a T-rex head : )

Summer Squash

Well, we harvested the traditional Utah zucchini this year. If you don't check them everyday, they get away from you! Thankfully we have a great chocolate zucchini cake recipe!

I LOVE this baby!!

My Treston is an angel! We have really enjoyed this sweet little guy. We just can't get enough of his sweet smiles. There is nothing better than snuggling him in the morning. Watching Joshua with him makes me smile everytime. It is amazing to see a father's love for their baby, even when it is the fourth time around! I would have ten more babies if they could all be like him!

Road Trip

When our time was up in Denver, my mom drove with us to the cabin. We only stayed one day, but it was unbelievably relaxing! There are no phones, t.v. or internet. It is sooo good to sometimes just get away.
Treston was just starting to get good at sitting up. This is the first time that all my kids have sat on floor and played together. How fun!
Ethan loves bugs! Notice the layer of dirt all over him (that is what the cabin is all about)!
Adalyn is injured : ) Luckily she is good at first aid.
Caleb wanted to take two baths a day because they were always in a tub on the kitchen floor.
Love the rolls!
