Crazy Hair Day!

Okay, for those of you that know me, I am horrible at doing hair. Really is not my thing. Earlier in the school year, Adalyn and I thought it was crazy hair day...so we frizzed and teased her hair until it was really huge. It was a big crazy mess! Well, turns out, crazy hair day was the next day! Oops! I felt so bad. She said she just went into the bathroom and tried to fix it the best she could....Good one mom!

So, when Dr. Seuss day came around I knew it was my chance to make it up....so, here is our attempt at Cindy Lou Who. Cute huh? All that really mattered was that she loved it.

Sweet!! Real Buffalo.

On our way home from Denver, the Buffalo were right by the side of the freeway. Of course we had to stop. I was amazed at how close they were to the fence. I am not sure the kids really appreciated how cool it really was. I loved it!

Treston 14 months

Here are some shots of our little guy! He is growing so fast! He is all boy and soooo much fun! He is so incredibly happy. He wakes up smiling and giggling. When I take him out shopping, and he is tired and hungry, no one can tell because he is so happy to be along for the ride.
He has learned to climb! He climbs on everything! And of course he loves to be my little helper with the dishes! Good thing, because his six year old brother says that dishes are a girl's job and he doesn't want to do them!

Crawfish

Crawfish!!! Well, it wouldn't be spring without it! It is something I have loved since I was a child and now it is fun to share it with Joshua and the kids. Thankfully, it is possible to find it out west thanks to Papadeaux. It was so fun to watch the kids eat it. Ethan became very attached and took two of them home in a plastic to-go container. Unfortunately they could not become permanent pets, because after a few days, we started to worry that he would get a food borne illness : )

Thank you Mom, it was such a treat!

Night out on the town!

So, for Joshua's spring break, we loaded up the car and drove to Denver (on the spur of the moment-Joshua's favorite thing to do)! While we were there, we left the kids with my parents for a night and went and stayed downtown at the Hyatt! (Courtesy of my awesome brother Ryan and his wife Katie, thank you so much!!!) We had such a great time and wish we could do this every month! We were having such a great time that I only took four pictures. So, here we are at breakfast at Einstein's.

This is the view from our room....the 27th floor! If you look carefully in the second picture, you can see the capital.

More pics for the Aunts

Adalyn's cake was really neat. There are three figurines of girls in white dresses. They were on my cake the day I was baptized, twenty one years ago. Thanks mom for saving them!
A special picture with Nana.
Grandma and Grandpa Norris made it also.

Baptism week

Here are some random pictures that my mother in law took while she was here visiting. We had a great visit with her!

We will miss you Uncle Ron

The week of Adalyn's baptism my Uncle Ron (my Dad's only brother) was kind enough to spend two hours with us, taking Adalyn's pictures in her baptism dress. He took 180 pictures and they turned out so beautiful. We had a great time! He took the picture in the previous post of her with the black background. A week later, he was killed in a tragic accident in Arizona while returning home from my great uncle's funeral. He was changing the tire of my other uncle's car and a driver fell asleep on the freeway and went off the road and hit my Uncle Ron. He died at the scene. It is so sad and tragic. We will miss him dearly. He was a wonderful man. ALWAYS giving and serving and doing things for others. I will treasure this picture forever. Thank you Uncle Ron.
